Thanks to everyone who braved the poor weather to come out to the Doggy Dash! Though we did have to end early because of the lightning, it was a record-breaking day in that we had more registered participants than ever.

For those of you who did not receive your shirts on Dash Day, the order has been placed and they will hopefully be on their way to you soon. If you pre-registered and didn't attend, you will also be receiving your t-shirt through the mail.

Doggy Dash 4

The fourth annual Doggy Dash is set for May 3, 2008! We'll be using this blog for status updates, announcements and frantic calls for help. :-)

The address to use for Mapquest.com is 3470 Florence Rd., Powder Springs, Ga. 30127. The Barking Lot will be across the street from the Florence Road Trail Head. Please park in the Trail Head parking lot.

It doesn't rain on Doggy Dash

We've had a lot of calls so I thought I'd post an entry stating that the Dash will go forward on Saturday. We are counting on our good Doggy Dash luck for a few rain-free hours. We'll take any spare thoughts or prayers that you may have, too. ;-)

If you can't make it and have pre-registered, rest assured that your t-shirt will be mailed to you.

Overdue Update!

The Dash is 10 days away! Have you sent in your registration? Early registration ensures you get your preferred commemorative t-shirt size. If you prefer to wait and register same day, please download a registration form and fill it out to bring with you.

New this year will be the Lick-a-Lots Frozen Dog Treats contest. It's sort of like doggy ice cream, except made from yogurt and other natural ingredients. Dogs love it! The game will award a prize to the dog who finishes theirs the fastest, and we'll have separate large dog and small dog contests.

We have some great prizes. Many thanks to our sponsors, vendors and local businesses for donating toward our contests, games and raffles. Here's just a sample of some of the goodies you can win:

We are also seeking product or service donations for our raffle and contest prize baskets and promotional items for our Wag Bags. The raffles are a big draw and add a significant amount of funds to the overall event. All donors will receive mention in the Official Doggy Dash Directory, which each participant will receive in their Wag Bags.
